I'm a proud mother of two and a joyful grandmother to two beautiful granddaughters. Teaching has been my passion since childhood, and I’ve had the privilege of turning that passion into a lifelong career.
I hold a degree in traditional education, a Master’s in Child Psychology, and am also a Montessori guide. For 20 years, I founded and ran my own school in Mexico, serving students from nursery through high school. It was an incredibly rewarding journey to nurture young minds and witness their growth over the years.
Now in Austin, Texas, I’m honored to start a new chapter at Casa Meraki, my second daycare venture in the city. Here, I continue to share the joy and wonder of learning with young children. Their curiosity and light remind me every day why I chose this path — and why I remain so passionate about it.
Casa Meraki is a Spanish immersion school that blends indoor/outdoor instruction with structured and unstructured learning activities that provide children the opportunity to explore and discover.
We encourage children's natural ability and desire to learn and listen by introducing sons, poems, tong twisters, etc., that promote their focus and attention.
We recognize that social conflict is anormal part of human growth, which must be guided rather than avoided. We work to support children learn how to resolve conflicts with each other and come to a greater understanding of oneself and others.
